The highest concentration of milk production is in Kaluga region
In some regions of the Russian Federation, the share of a single player exceeds 30%, which, according to DIA analysts, indicates an unbalanced market development and a potential collapse of the industry in the event of a key player's bankruptcy.
Participants in the rating of TOP 100 milk producers play a significant role in the regions where their farms are located, but some players dominate regional markets. The highest concentration of production in a single player is observed in Kaluga region, where one of the companies of the leader in the TOP 100 rating, EkoNiva-APK holding, occupies 50.7% of the market.
We can also note the high concentration of milk production in Voronezh region (EkoNiva-Agro, 42.15%), Penza region (Rusmolko, 40.9%), Pskov region (GC Kabosh, 41.5%), Tula region (Intercros Center, 31.7%), Tver region (Agropromkomplektatsia, 35.4%), Kaliningrad region (GC Zalesskoe moloko, 42.56%, Dolgov Group, 29.63%), Crimea (Farmer-K/Crimea-Farming, 39.14%).
