The largest mega-farm of the GC "EkoNiva" in the European part of Russia was opened in Ryazan region
The event was attended by: acting Director of the Department of animal husbandry and breeding of the Ministry of agriculture of the Russian Federation Gennady Shichkin, Deputy Prime Minister of the region Dmitry Filippov, Minister of agriculture and food of the region Boris Shemyakin, President of “EkoNiva” group Stefan Duerr, managers of the enterprise "OkaMoloko-Vostochnoe", deputies of the regional Duma, heads of the municipality and of the Rosselkhozbank.
The cattle-breeding complex "Shatsk" has a capacity of 6 thousand head of cattle. In addition, there are sites for raising young cattle of dairy breeds for 7800 head. The project cost amounted to 4.5 billion rubles. About 240 jobs were created due to the opening of the farm. The new livestock complex has become the largest in the European part of Russia. In the spring of 2019 the farm of "EkoNiva" for 2800 head was put in operation in Pitelino district of Ryazan region.
Governor Nikolay Lyubimov congratulated everyone on the opening of a new large complex in the region. "The investment project “EkoNiva” is a vivid example of effective work in agriculture and excellent experience in using advanced technologies and innovations in agricultural management, which must be replicated. We are glad that our cooperation with the agricultural holding gives positive results, which in practice are transformed into such livestock facilities", said Nikolay Lyubimov. The head of the region noted that successful investment activity in agriculture allows increasing milk production. By this indicator Ryazan region ranks the 4th in the Central Federal district. He stressed that there are all prerequisites for the positive dynamics of milk production in the region to be preserved in 2020. The Governor expressed gratitude to the government of the Russian Federation for attention to the development of agriculture and rural areas in Ryazan region.
On behalf of Minister of agriculture of the Russian Federation Dmitry Patrushev, the acting Director of the Department of animal husbandry and breeding of the Ministry of agriculture of the Russian Federation Gennady Shichkin congratulated on the opening of the facility. He also noted the high level of livestock development in the region. "Ryazan region is a significant Russian region for the production of livestock products not only in the Central Federal district, but also in Russia. The region has high rates of development in dairy cattle breeding. In general, the increase in milk production this year is 6%, and in the industrial sector - 9%. Ryazan region can be proud of such large-scale projects". Gennady Shichkin stressed that state support for dairy cattle breeding will be maintained and will continue to grow.
President of “EkoNiva” group Stefan Duerr thanked the Russian Government and Governor Nikolay Lyubimov for their support: "A lot depends on the regional Government. Ryazan region is in the top three regions where we meet and receive comprehensive assistance. We feel that they are waiting for us here and want us to work here. We are grateful to the Governor for paying much attention to the development of the village. In a year, we plan to open a mega-farm in the Alexandro-Nevsky district".
