The main increase in milk production in Russia is due to the commissioning of new farms
The document notes that in 2018, 239 new dairy farms and complexes were built, reconstructed, modernized and put into operation. Additional milk production due to these measures amounted to 289.8 thousand tons.
It is interesting to know that more than half of the increase in milk production for the year was provided by newly commissioned modernized or built farms.
At the same time, the volume of milk production due to reconstruction and modernization amounted to 22.6 thousand tons, and the total volume of milk production obtained through the introduction of new facilities, reconstruction and modernization of facilities is 289.8 thousand tons. We will remind that in general, milk production increased by 455.2 thousand tons. The volume of production in the commodity sector according to the Ministry of agriculture amounted to 18.72 million tons.
