The Minister of agriculture sees potential in the export of milk

Beside grain and meat Russia could export dairy products, confectionery products, vegetable oil and products of butter and oil industry to foreign markets, thinks the Head of the Ministry Alexander Tkachev.
"Honey, milk and dairy products, confectionery and ice cream have good potential," he said in the lobby of the Russian economic forum in Sochi.
As it was reported, in 2017 it is planned to allocate 728.4 million rubles for support of agricultural export from the Federal budget.
The Ministry of agriculture included questions of support of export of agricultural products in the project of the adjusted state program of agriculture development, specifying them as a "Priority project "Export of agricultural products".
Project objectives are ensuring access of Russian products to the priority export markets, increasing competitiveness of domestic products on foreign markets. The project is going to be implemented in 2017-2020.
As Alexander Tkachev stated earlier, the purpose of the project on support of agricultural export is to increase export of agricultural products in terms of value not less than by 12.5% by the end of 2018, and not less than by 26.7% by the end of 2020.
In 2016, Russia exported agricultural products at $17 billion that is 4% more than in 2015.
