The Ministry of agriculture and REC prepare draft payment of expenses for transportation of agricultural products by rail

The Head of the Ministry Alexander Tkachev during the meeting of the Presidium of the presidential Council of the Russian Federation stated that the Ministry of agriculture jointly with the Russian export center (REC) is preparing a draft Government resolution providing for compensation of part of expenses on transportation of agricultural products and foodstuffs by rail over long distances, reports The DairyNews.
The meeting was chaired by Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev.
Alexander Tkachev has informed Dmitry Medvedev that the project implementation is in accordance with the schedule.
The Minister said that exporters of agricultural products will be supported by lending programs, insurance, participation in exhibitions, as well as compensation of logistics and transportation costs.
"I am confident that the implementation of our priority project will significantly increase support for exporters and by 2020 will increase the supply of agricultural products to foreign markets by 27% up to 21.4 billion rubles," – said Alexander Tkachev.
In addition, the Minister announced that the Federal agricultural Department in collaboration with industry unions and associations is considering the issue of inclusion in the priority project measures for the development of the industry export programs for certain types of agricultural products.
In addition, the issue of inclusion of export co-operatives of small and medium-sized businesses, including microenterprises engaged in the collection of honey, berries, mushrooms, nuts, fruit-and-vegetable canned food and juices, confectionery in the priority project has been already solved. As measures of support of export cooperatives one provides grant support for the creation of production facilities of export cooperatives and compensation of expenses for consulting and marketing services, the logistics of agricultural products.
The third important direction is the development of a distribution infrastructure for exporting. It is integrated in the Federal agricultural logistics network that connects the South, Central Russia, the Urals, Siberia and the Far East. The network will include large wholesale distribution centers in Krasnoyarsk, Transbaikal and Khabarovsk areas, Amur, Novosibirsk and Sverdlovsk regions.

- agricultural logistics hub in Primorsky krai (commissioning in 2018 -2019);
- Zarubinskyi and Transbaikal grain terminals (3 and 8 million tons of grain, respectively, by 2020).
