The Ministry of agriculture has prepared a draft order returning finished dairy products to “Mercury”
In the text there is the list of products the dairy group to be accompanied by electronic veterinary documents (EVD), as follows:
Milk and cream, not condensed, without added sugar or other sweeteners. Milk and cream, condensed or containing added sugar or other sweeteners. Buttermilk, clotted milk and cream, yogurt, kefir and other fermented or acidified milk and cream, condensed or not condensed, with or without added sugar or other sweeteners, with or without flavouring, with or without the addition of fruit, nuts or cocoa. Whey, condensed or not condensed, with or without the addition of sugar or other sweeteners; products made from natural milk ingredients, with or without the addition of sugar or other sweeteners, not specified or included elsewhere. Butter and other fats, made from milk; milk pastes. Cheese and curd. Edible products of animal origin, not specified or included elsewhere.
Earlier, the document excluded products made from pasteurized (ultra-pasteurized, sterilized, ultra-high-temperature-processed) milk or pasteurized (ultra-pasteurized, sterilized, ultra-high-temperature-processed) dairy products manufactured in an industrial way and packed in consumer containers from the list of “Mercury”.
Earlier, the Ministry of agriculture said that it is planned to return finished dairy products to the list of EVC system by April next year. Some of the market participants noted that this is hardly possible to be done before the end of 2019, due to the planned pilot projects on introduction of the labeling system in 2019.
