The Ministry of agriculture has proposed to expand the list to obtain preferential loans

If the proposal posted on the portal of normative legal acts is accepted, manufacturers of dairy products and animal feed will be able to get the money at a reduced rate. We are talking about the purchase of raw milk, for which preferential short-term loans will be provided. But under the condition that the purchase is carried out under the contract or agreement concluded between the producer of raw milk and the processor for a period of not less than three years. 

In addition, "at the numerous requests of both authorized banks and industry unions", it is specified to use such loans aimed at the purchase of grain not only for the flour and grain industry, but also for the production of animal feed, as said in the document. In the opinion of the experts, the proposed changes should be welcomed.
"The ability to use preferential loans for grain procurement is a significant help for producers", said the Executive Director of the National Feed Union Vladimir Manaenkov. - The fact is that the grain content in the production of animal feed reaches 60-70 percent, so the proposed change, if it is accepted, will provide significant support".

The Executive Director of the Association of manufacturers and suppliers of food products ("Rusprodsoyuz") Dmitry Vostrikov shares a similar point of view.
"We positively assess the intermediate results of the program of concessional lending launched by the Ministry of agriculture last year, and support the inclusion of new sectors in it", he explained. According to the experts of “Rusprodsoyuz”, the expansion of the target areas of the program of concessional lending will contribute to the growth of production and reduce the cost price of products.
