The Ministry of agriculture held a meeting on the implementation of the Road map for the development of livestock breeding

In particular, there was presented a draft document on the methodology of evaluation of dairy cattle and cattle of dual purpose. In the third quarter at the department of animal husbandry and livestock breeding there will be presented the agreed draft regulations, order and conditions of carrying out valuation of dairy cattle, methods of verification and evaluation of bulls of dairy purpose, said in the Ministry of agriculture.

"We have not still resolved the question of the evaluation of dairy cattle. We hope to solve it this year. There was presented an unfinished project on the evaluation of dairy cattle. In the third quarter we plan the introduction of this bill to the Department of animal husbandry of the Ministry of agriculture of the Russian Federation for development and approval of the order of the Federal Agricultural Department," - said the Deputy Director of the Department of animal husbandry Galina Safina at the meeting in the framework of the All-Russian field day.

Following the meeting at the Ministry of agriculture the Chief center for the reproduction of farm animals was recommended to introduce the draft provisions on the Advisory Committee on the basis of the enterprise to the Federal Agricultural Department. One also noted a need to submit a developed program for the formation and preservation of the gene pool of domestic breeds of farm animals for the period 2017-2022 and holding meetings with the participants of the working group on the implementation of the Road map measures within shortest time..
