The Ministry of agriculture of Russia keeps the level of procurement prices for milk under the control
Eugeny Akhpashev noted the importance of a profound analysis of the current situation in the industry by the results of 2017 to make decisions on its further development.
During the video conference representatives of Russian regions within the Volga Federal district, discussed the situation in each sub-sector, paying special attention to the processing of milk, meat, production of flour and bakery products, implementation of the program of concessional lending, the geography of markets and the suppression of falsification of dairy products.
Eugeny Akhpashev instructed the representatives of the authorities of regional agro-industrial complexes to intensify work on the preparation of forecast balance sheets for certain types of food, including milk, stressing that the issue of procurement price for milk is under constant supervision of the relevant departments of the Ministry of agriculture.
"It is necessary to create the conditions for the stability of prices, which suits all market participants. Farmers must receive decent remuneration for the results of their labor. The agribusiness authorities of constituent entities need to monitor consumers of milk powder and price formation of milk and dairy products according to companies and trade organizations - suppliers of milk powder. In case of identifying unwarranted substantial price reduction the responsible representatives of the Ministry of agriculture are ready to go to the site to clarify the situation and prevent unauthorized importation of milk powder to the regions", - said Evgeny Akhpashev.
The meeting was also attended by representatives of the departments of the Ministry, regional Departments of agricultural sector, industrial unions and associations, heads of enterprises of food and processing industry.
