The Ministry of agriculture presented the Project “Export of agricultural products”

"We consider this task as a new stage in the development of agriculture, in which exports are the driver of the modernization of the industry. Since it is impossible to reach the target within the current structure of production, logistics and sales, we have a lot to do to create a new commodity mass, develop the transport and logistics system, eliminate tariff and non-tariff barriers in the target markets, promote our products abroad", – said Dmitry Patrushev.

The implementation of the project will start next year. At present, it has already been approved by the Presidium of the Presidential Council for strategic development and priority projects.

The document defines priority commodity groups for export, including fat-and-oil, meat and dairy products, cereals, fish and seafood, food and processing industry products, confectionery. Thus, according to the calculations of the Ministry of agriculture of Russia, the fat – and – oil industry can provide export growth by 2024 in the amount of 5,4 billion dollars, food and processing industry – 5,2 billion dollars, fish and seafood - 4,1 billion dollars, grain - 3,9 billion dollars, and meat and dairy products - 2,2 billion dollars. Other goods will provide an additional $3.5 billion by 2024.

To create a transport and logistics infrastructure capable of ensuring the growth of exports, including non-raw materials, the Ministry of agriculture of Russia provides the construction of new distribution centers, the expansion of port and transit capacities, the development of digital technologies in logistics.

Also, the systematic work to promote Russian agricultural products in foreign markets will be carried out in the framework of the project. This task will be solved both by creating a network of representatives of the Ministry of agriculture abroad, and by subsidizing the activities of The Russian export center.

Dmitry Patrushev emphasized that all the conditions and the necessary funding have been created to fulfill the task set by the President of Russia.

More than 30 billion rubles is planned to be spent on export-oriented agro-logistics. The main areas of financing are subsidizing the cost of transportation of agricultural products and construction of agricultural facilities. Activities to eliminate foreign trade barriers will be supported in the amount of 18 billion rubles, which will be aimed at epizootic monitoring and ensuring epizootic safety, subsidizing the certification of agricultural products and food. In addition, almost 9 billion rubles were allocated for the implementation of a set of measures to create a system of promotion of Russian products abroad, including subsidies to the Russian export center, the creation and promotion of brands and regional sub-brands, the development of a network of agricultural attachés and other areas.
