According to the Ministry of agriculture, this year it is planned to produce about 6.5 million tons of sugar, 15.2 million tons of meat and poultry, 44.9 billion eggs, milk production will exceed 31 million tons, which is higher than in 2018. In January — August of this year, the index of agricultural production amounted to 102.6%, noted in the Ministry.
The Ministry of agriculture also stressed that in 2019, producer prices for poultry meat are at a stable level. The volume of production of these products is sufficient for domestic consumption, even taking into account the growing exports.
The prices of industrial producers for sugar, according to the Ministry of agriculture, decreased by 35.3% since the beginning of 2019. This is due to the high volume of its production.
As for the situation on the market of dairy products, the launch of the third stage of the introduction of the mandatory system of veterinary certification "Mercury", necessary to track and record each stage of the life cycle of animal products and the path of their movement scheduled on November 1, 2019 will contribute to the stability of the market. The experience of the implementation of the first and second stages showed a reduction in the cost of production of goods due to the transfer of certification in electronic format and the work of "Mercury" on a free basis, believes the Ministry of agriculture.
