The Ministry of industry and trade and the Ministry of agriculture finish integration of traceability systems of dairy products in the Russian Federation
"As for concerns about the "doubling" of the functions of the information system of labeling and "Mercury", together with colleagues from the Ministry of agriculture, we are already finalizing the integration mechanisms that will allow businesses to optimize their own activities and carry out work in the format of a "single window" to perform all actions in the interface of one system", said Manturov.
Since July 2018 Russian producers issue electronic veterinary certificates (EVC) for livestock products in the "Mercury" system. For a number of products, this requirement has been postponed.
Since November 1, 2019, registration of EVC for all finished livestock products has become mandatory. In addition, an experiment on labeling of a number of finished dairy products began in Russia on July 15. The national Union of milk producers (Soyuzmoloko) estimated the total one-time investment in the implementation of the labeling system for the industry at 25 billion rubles, and annual costs - about 20 billion.
Earlier, the Union appealed to the government of the Russian Federation with a request to assess the feasibility of the experiment on labeling of dairy products.
"Let's try to consider this issue from all sides – this is the only way to get a general, three-dimensional picture. According to the Rosselkhoznadzor, in 2018 the share of falsisied products in this area amounted to 24%. Just think - a quarter of the whole market! The problem of falsification in this area is noted in the form of falsified products of well-known companies and illegal use of brands", said Manturov.
"Therefore, it is obvious that the problem should be solved. During the experiment, we are ready to work out all the wishes of the companies. At the same time, the Center for advanced technology development (CATD) actively helps manufacturers prepare for labeling", the Minister added.
