In addition, the Deputy Minister noted that the professional community is actively discussing the introduction of a standard for eco-friendly toys. "Now more expensive children's products marked as "eco" are sold on the market, but this marking is not confirmed by any documents. In particular, experts are discussing the removal of a complete ban on the use of secondary raw materials (except, harmful, of course). In the presence of this ban, major international brands that produce high - quality children's products from recycled materials (for example, wood) cannot enter our market and offer their eco-friendly product,’ he said.
According to the Deputy Head of the Ministry of industry and trade, there are ten major manufacturers in Russia that produce more than 55 million toys. ‘We see that the industry is ready to improve the quality standards of its products,’ he concluded.
