"The presence of veterinary accompanying documents and traceability in the Federal state information system "Mercury" is necessary, of course, but only in respect of raw materials, and not finished and packaged dairy products, which after proper treatment (pasteurization, ultra - pasteurization, sterilization, ultra-high-temperature processing) does not have any veterinary risks", said in the Ministry of industry and trade.
The Ministry of industry and trade noted that from December 2018 to December 2019, the Ministry of industry and trade plans to conduct an experiment on voluntary labeling of dairy products.
Earlier, the Head of the Rosselkhoznadzor Sergey Dankvert said that the Russian dairy market could collapse if dairy products were not included in the electronic traceability system "Mercury" at the beginning of next year.
