The number of cows with a yield of 10 thousand kg has increased in Moscow region by more than 26%
"According to the results of the assessment of animals for breeding and productive qualities to determine their breeding value - the number of cows with milk yield of 10 thousand kilograms and above reached 5821 in breeding enterprises or 7.8% of the controlled cows, which is 26.6% higher compared to the figure of last year", - said the Minister of agriculture and food of Moscow region Andrey Razin.
The absolute leader in milk yield is a Holstein cow with the name Valetka of the enterprise "Yemelyanovka" in the city district of Ozery. It produced 15966 kilograms of milk. The leader among cows of the Ayrshire breed is a cow Lila from the farm "Bokovo" in the city district of Ozery, which produced 12170 kilograms of milk. Among the cows of the Kholmogorsky breed, the leader is the cow from "Spartak" farm in the city district of Shatura, which produced 12401 kilograms of milk. The leader among cows of the black-and-white breed is the cow Pena from Agroholding "Avangard" in the city district of Volokolamsk, which produced 14642 kilograms of milk.
"At breeding plants in the region, which keep 47% of all highly productive cows, the increase in cows with milk yield of more than 10 thousand kilograms over the past year was 361 heads, in breeding reproducers, where 53% of cows are concentrated, the number of such animals increased by 1187 heads", Razin said.
Moscow region is among the top ten in terms of cattle and milk production in the rating of regions of the Russian Federation.
