The price index of food products in Leningrad region in May 2021 was 98.6% compared to April
‘There is a direct dependence on the share and type of products shipped in the change in selling prices for hard and soft cheeses. The increase in the share of hard cheeses significantly increases the weighted average selling price,’ the Committee noted.
The Committee stressed that the situation in the consumer market of the region is stable; there are no sharp fluctuations in prices, excessive demand and a shortage in the retail chains of Leningrad region. According to the source, in May 2021 in Leningrad region, the average price of 1 kg of butter was 797 rubles, 1 liter of pasteurized milk 2.5-3.2% - 67.5 rubles, 1 liter of UHT milk 2.5-3.2% - 82 rubles, 1 kg of fermented dairy products - 80 rubles, 1 kg of fat cottage cheese - 406 rubles, 1 kg of sour cream - 229.5 rubles and 1 kg of rennet hard and soft cheeses - 539 rubles.
‘A coordinated production policy of milk producers and processors in our region, along with constant work to improve the quality of raw materials and an established monitoring system, should ensure the economic stability of the dairy industry,’ summed up in the Committee for the Agro - Industrial and Fisheries Complex of Leningrad region.
