The price of butter at the auction of Global Dairy Trade increased by 4.9%
The weighted average price of dairy products rose to 2.844 USD/kg. When recalcuated into the Russian currency, taking into account the weakening of the ruble compared to previous trading on December 4, the weighted average price increased by 1.39% to 189.47 rubles/kg, which is 8.7% higher than in December 2017.
In total, 36181 tons of dairy products were sold at the auction, which is 269 tons less than at the previous auction, the number of participants was 184. Prices for dairy products rose, except for casein, which fell by 2.1%. The price of butter increased by 4.9%, dehydrated milk fat increased by 4%. The price of lactose increased by 1.6%, cheddar - by 2.2%. The price of skim milk powder increased by 3.4%, the price of whole milk powder - only by 0.3%.
The next global Dairy Trade auction will take place on January 2, 2019.
