From January to April this year, production of cheese by enterprises of the Russian Federation increased by 1.2%. Production of cheese products, according to Rosstat, increased by 9.9%, reports the DairyNews.
In April there was produced 38.2 thousand tons of cheese, and 13.8 thousand tons of cheese products.
Production of cottage cheese in Russia from January to April fell by 5.4%, according to Rosstat. In April Russia produced 41.2 thousand tons of this product.
Production of butter for four months of the year increased by 4.9% (the release of the product in April was 21.6 thousand tons).
