The Rosselkhoznadzor destroyed about 2 tons of sanctioned cheese from Europe in October
According to the Rissekhoznadzor, about 1.5 tons of cheese, which was, according to the labeling, produced in the Netherlands, was found in the wholesale and retail market in Krasnoyarsk.
Moreover, the owner of the cargo tried to depersonalize or re-label the smuggled products. The signs of torn off labels were found on the cheese, and a large number of labels of different cheese manufacturers in Russia and Belarus were found in the warehouse. These labels were intended for gluing on impersonal products, the report says.
In addition, the Rosselkhoznadzor specialists found 450 kg of cheese from Germany, the Netherlands, Italy and Finland on the Krasnodar market.
All products prohibited for import to Russia were seized and, in accordance with the decree of the President of the Russian Federation "On the application of certain special economic measures to ensure the security of the Russian Federation", destroyed under the control of employees of the territorial administrations of the Rosselkhoznadzor, the service reports.
