The Rosselkhoznadzor lifted restrictions on export of products from PepsiCo plant in Altai
"The company had temporary restrictions, they are introduced by the Central office (the Rosselkhoznadzor - IF). In order to remove these restrictions for the company, it needs to take corrective measures. (. . .) The company has withdrawn from this status. (. . .) Today it sends its products for export", Mironov said.
There were some claims to the Rubtsovsky dairy plant because of the presence of antibiotics in the finished product. Currently, according to Mironov, there are no questions for the manufacturer. And if antibiotics are detected in raw milk, the plant signals this to the Rosselkhoznadzor, which in turn begins working with milk suppliers.
As reported, in 2019, "Wimm-Bill-Dann" lost the case of falsification of “Lamber” cheese produced at the Rubtsovsky dairy plant (a branch of "Wimm-Bill-Dann", Altai region) in two instances. In November, the company sent an appeal to the Supreme court of the Russian Federation, on 21 January 2020, it was denied the transfer of the complaint for consideration by the Judicial board for economic disputes of the Supreme court.
"Wimm-Bill-Dann" demanded in the courts to cancel the decision of the Rosselkhoznadzor administration for Altai region and the Altai Republic to impose a fine of 100 thousand rubles for the falsification of “Lamber” cheese produced at the Rubtsovsky dairy plant. In the course of research, beta-sitosterols (substances of plant origin - IF) were found in the product, which is not allowed in the composition of this cheese.
In turn, "Wimm-Bill-Dann" insisted in court that "the fact of falsification of the product is not proven, since the research of the disputed products was carried out in violation". The court rejected this argument because it was "refuted by the case materials".
Earlier, the PepsiCo press service told “Interfax” that “Lamber” cheese is not and cannot be falsification".
"The conclusion about falsification of the product sample was made in violation of the established requirements in terms of criteria for evaluating the authenticity of products", noted the representative of the company.
According to him, the Rubtsovsky dairy plant does not acquire or use non-dairy components to replace dairy ones in the production of “Lamber” cheese. PepsiCo owns more than 40 companies in Russia. In 2011, it completed a deal to buy JSC “Wimm-Bill-Dann Food”, which is one of the leading producers of dairy and juice products in Russia.
