The Rosselkhoznadzor: new rules of veterinary control on the border of the Russian Federation come into force on July 5
"The Rosselkhoznadzor informs on the entry into force since 05.07.2019 Resolution of the Government of the Russian Federation of 31.05.2019 No. 692 "On amendments into the resolution of the Government of the Russian Federation dated 29 June 2011 № 501 and the annulment of paragraph 5 of the amendments to the Rules for state veterinary supervision at checkpoints across the state border of the Russian Federation, approved by decree of the Government of the Russian Federation of May 25, 2012 № 519", - stated in the message of the Department. - The resolution provides the possibility of veterinary control at checkpoints across the border of the Russian Federation with the use of documents and information in electronic form through a system of interdepartmental information exchange, which makes it possible to avoid stamping on paper, and also allows making decisions regarding goods in electronic form".
Thus, this resolution will help to reduce the time of control measures at checkpoints, as well as enable participants of foreign economic activity to monitor the status of control measures in respect of goods subject to veterinary control.
