The Rosselkhoznadzor of Bashkortostan guarantees the absence of FMD in dairy products of the region

All products that are produced in Bashkortostan at meat and dairy plants is of good quality and the administration of the Rosselkhoznadzor did not impose any prohibition for sale - in commercial networks they are sold freely, was said at a briefing in the national government.
The briefing was devoted to the outbreak of foot and mouth disease on the territory of Tuimazy and Buzdyak regions, reports The DairyNews with reference to regional Ministry of agriculture.
"The residents of Bashkortostan can be sure that during the manufacture of finished food products, which is subjected to heat treatment, there is no risk of disease and transfer of FMD virus from these products. All our dairies produce pasteurized products; none of them sells raw milk. We can guarantee the absence of virus in these food products", — summed up the head of the Rosselkhoznadzor Administration in Bashkortostan Yuri Petrov.
As it was reported by the Agency "Bashinform", the FMD virus was found in two districts of the Republic — Tuimazy and Buzdyak districts.
According to preliminary data, the reason could be the delivery of FMD carriers from regions of Central Asia.
FMD is especially dangerous viral disease of animals, which can be transferred to people. The disease causes serious damage to livestock breeding.
