In addition, it was found that from 20% to 62% of the sold dairy products do not meet the established indicators. For milk, the figure is 20%, for butter - 36%, for cottage cheese - 62%.
The creation of a unified system in the Russian Federation to ensure the safety and traceability of animals, plants, animal and plant products should contribute to the solution of the problem. The Ministry reports that this issue was discussed at a meeting with Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev on October 31.
The system is proposed to be created on the basis of the Federal state veterinary information system administered by the Rosselkhoznadzor.
"It is important to note that one of its components is the system of veterinary certification "Mercury", which has been implemented and operates since July 1 throughout the Russian Federation. For 4 months of work more than 400 million certificates were issued. Through this system, the traceability of all controlled goods is carried out, except for finished food products", the report said.
According to Deputy Prime Minister Alexey Gordeev, quoted in the message, "the unification of all existing specialized departmental platforms into a single state information system will allow, on the one hand, to radically improve the efficiency of state control of products, on the other hand - will provide additional conditions for the development of fair competition and support of honest entrepreneurs".
According to Head of the Ministry of agriculture Dmitry Patrushev, referred to by the press service, an important element of the system is the work with its results. It is the analysis of these data that should become the basis for making decisions by Supervisory bodies, primarily on control and Supervisory measures.
By the results of the meeting, there were given instructions to study the possibility of integration of existing information systems and to develop proposals to strengthen administrative responsibility for violation of technical regulations for food products up to the withdrawal of technological equipment used for the production of substandard products.
