The share of raw milk in sales of agricultural products through the BUCE in January-August exceeded 12%
In the first eight months of this year, 81 thousand tons of raw cow milk were sold through the BUCE for Br73. 6 million. Thus, the share of these products in the total sales of agricultural products at stock exchanges reached 12.2%, despite the fact that in 2019 this figure was equal to 1.6%.
‘Such a significant increase in the share of raw milk in the turnover of agricultural products is due to the active development of this direction during the year. So, compared to January-August 2019, the amount of transactions with raw milk increased 39 times, while in physical terms, sales increased 35 times,’ the press service explained.
‘The positive dynamics is provided primarily due to dairy producers, who began to put up for exchange trading almost all their surplus dairy raw materials. Against the background of expanding the circle of regular customers, this led to a significant increase in sales volumes, both year-on-year and month-on-month. For example, if in July this year the amount of transactions amounted to Br12. 1 million, in August - Br16. 5 million. This trend is typical for the current year,’ noted in the BUCE.
