The share of the TOP 100 dairy companies in the Russian market increased to 70.43%

Dairy Intelligence Agency (DIA) has prepared a rating of the TOP 100 largest dairy companies in Russia:

The share of 100 largest milk processing companies in the Russian market is growing year by year. In 2018, the share of the TOP 100 in the total volume of milk processing was 66.5%, in 2020 the share increased to 70.43%. The market leaders are increasing the volume of milk processing, despite the fact that the total volume of milk processing in Russia also continues to grow. In 2020, the volume of processed milk in Russia amounted to 20.3 million tons, 2% more than in 2019.

The share of the TOP 50 rating companies in the Russian market in 2020 was 56.9%; for comparison, in 2019 the share was 54.85%.

The share of the top ten of the rating in 2020 was 28.75%, in 2019 the share of the TOP 10 in the Russian market was 27.92%, and in 2015 30.7%. It is worth noting that in 2016-2018, the volume of milk processing of the rating leaders, Danone and PepsiCo companies, decreased. However, as the example of Danone in the new rating shows, the leaders are again strengthening their positions.

The share of the TOP 5 dairy companies in the volume of milk processing in Russia in 2020 was 21.14%; in 2020 the share of the top five leaders was 20.5%.
