The social sphere and small-scale trade are not ready for labeling - Olga Abramova
‘We have one organization that has chosen the automatic application of codes at the enterprise. In April, we tested it. Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation Oksana Lut was present at the plant. Now we have started, we are working. Other enterprises have chosen labeling as a method of applying codes. It's good that the volumes are not very large,’ Olga Abramova stressed.
She noted that the postponement of the introduction of mandatory digital labeling for products produced by peasant farm holdings for 2022 would have a positive impact on the activities of farms in the region, since a large number of farms operate in Udmurtia.
Olga Abramova also said that in the process of introducing mandatory digital labeling, some problems were observed at republican enterprises, including those related to interaction with the CATD.
‘As for producers of other categories of dairy products, we have only 32 enterprises registered in the "Honest mark" system. They are 100% interacting with the integrator, purchasing equipment, getting ready. We are connecting local printing houses. We monitor the situation on a weekly basis and do not see any new risks yet,’ the expert noted.
At the same time, she added that the implementation of labeled products in the social sphere causes more questions in the region, since, according to her, the social sphere is still not ready.
‘In addition, to be honest, small wholesale and retail are also not ready for labeling yet. Trade is not only retail chains, but, for example, sole proprietors who have small shops somewhere in the village. These people worry us, because they also need the Internet there. Therefore, now we are trying to make sure that there is an Internet connection in every outlet on the territory of the Udmurt Republic, regardless of the size,’ summed up Olga Abramova.
