According to Irina Yarovaya, the amendments establish an absolute ban on the return of unsold products to the manufacturer with a shelf life of up to 30 days, writes The DairyNews with reference to the press service of “United Russia”.
The amendments of the government of the Russian Federation to the bill on the ban on the return of unsold products to the manufacturer by retail chains reflect the consolidated position of the government of the Russian Federation and the State Duma on the need for additional measures to protect domestic producers, which was formed at a meeting with the Prime Minister. This was stated by Deputy Chairman of the State Duma, Head of the Federal monitoring group "Fair price" of “United Russia” Irina Yarovaya, commenting on the results of the meeting of the government Commission on legislative activity.
"There is an absolute ban on the return of unsold products to the manufacturer with a shelf life of up to 30 days. In order to prevent abuse of non-compliance with the requirements of the law, this rule also includes a ban on the replacement of such goods and reimbursement of their cost", she said.
"We also support the proposal of the government that retail chains should bring their contracts into line with the law within one hundred and eighty days. This period is more than enough to bring into line all contractual relations", - said the Vice-speaker of the State Duma.
It should be reminded, that the bill banning the return of unsold products to the manufacturer by retail chains, was unanimously adopted by the State Duma in the first reading. The draft law was developed based on the results of monitoring "Fair price" by "United Russia" based on the proposals of the regions of Russia and the Unions of domestic producers of food products.
