The third all-Russian agricultural census will be held in 2026
- The second all-Russian agricultural census was held in 2016, the previous one was held in 2006. "(Next - ed.) all-Russian census will take place in 2026", - said Laikam.
He reminded that according to the Federal law, the agricultural census in the Russian Federation is held at least once every ten years.
- In 2021 the micro-census will be carried out, we are now preparing for it, - said Laikam.
At the beginning of the agricultural census in Russia there were 36 thousand agricultural enterprises, 136.7 thousand farm holdings, 38 thousand individual entrepreneurs, 23.5 million private households and other individual households of citizens, 75.9 thousand non-profit associations of citizens (horticultural, vegetable and suburban).
According to the results of all-Russian agricultural census - 2016, the number of agricultural enterprises with more than 10 thousand hectares is about 3 thousand (9% of the total number of enterprises owning land), but they account for about 80% of the land.
In the sector of individual entrepreneurs and peasant farm holdings, the share of farms with more than 3 thousand hectares of land is 1.5%, they account for about a third of the land.
- The total number of farmland decreased over 10 years (from 2006 to 2016) by 14% in farms of all categories and amounts to 142.7 million hectares. 88 million hectares are in use, - said Konstantin Laikam.
