Andrey Kozlov: consumers are changing the structure of the Russian dairy product range
According to Andrey Kozlov, this process of reducing the consumption of simple ingredients, including milk, is associated with the impact of the fast food sector, HoReCa sector, sales channels and delivery of goods on consumer behavior.
‘Dairy producers really analyze the needs of the younger generation, which consumes food in a different way. The share of fast food, the HoReCa sector, as well as sales and delivery channels also affect consumer behavior. People are starting to cook less at home and consume ready meals. Consequently, the consumption of simple ingredients, such as milk, begins to decrease. However, the volume of other dairy products is increasing. Just changing the structure of the range of manufacturers,’ - Chairman of the Board of Directors of JSC PIR Product shared his opinion with The DairyNews.
Earlier, Director of the Dairy Intelligence Agency (DIA) Mikhail Mishchenko during his speech at the conference “How to build a factory?” spoke about the situation and current trends in the dairy market. In his report, the analyst mentioned one of the main problems – the lack of understanding of consumer needs by Russian dairy producers. He also noted that by 2030, the dairy industry can turn into an industry of ingredients.
