The “United Russia” party asks the Rospotrebnadzor to check violations of the labeling of dairy products
Since January 11, 2019, producers of milk-containing products with a milk fat substitute are prohibited from using the definitions established by the technical regulations for milk and dairy products, their various combinations, including in the names and trademarks, as well as in the invented name when labeling such products and on their labels.
Almost 3.5 thousand activists of the party project of “United Russia” "People's control" during the month checked the milk-containing products presented in supermarkets and shops in 53 regions of the country. Activists visited more than 3 thousand outlets. In total there were detected 165 violations in 247 supermarkets and shops.
"We appealed to the Rospotrebnadzor with a request to check the facts of violation of the rights of consumers and to call to account dishonest manufacturers of dairy products", quotes the press service of the party the words of the coordinator of the party project "People's control", of the State Duma Deputy Anna Kuvychko.
She added that both local producers and those who supply products to all stores in the country continue to use words on the packaging that violate the rights of consumers and mislead them.
The coordinator of the party project noted that the monitoring is going on, as dairy products are included in the diet of a significant part of the population. "Our common goal is to prevent misleading customers", concluded Kuvychko.
Party project of "United Russia" "People's control" is aimed at raising public awareness in the field of food policy, quality control of food products and services. As part of the implementation of the party project, regular monitoring is carried out to establish control over the formation of prices and rules in the consumer market.
