The volume of exports of food products and agricultural raw materials for their production amounted to $25.8 billion in 2018
The draft Decision noted that in 2018, the development of the agricultural sector of the economy took place in a changing macroeconomic situation under the conditions of sanctions imposed against Russia and retaliatory measures taken.
According to preliminary estimates of Rosstat, the index of agricultural production in farms of all categories in 2018 amounted to 99.4%. However, the situation remains stable. The average annual growth of agricultural production in 2016-2018 is 2.4%.
According to Rosstat, the index of food production in 2018 amounted to 104.9% versus 104.2% in 2017.
The volume of exports of food products and agricultural raw materials for their production in 2018 amounted to $25.8 billion, which is 20% higher than in 2017. The volume of imports of food products and raw materials for their production amounted to $29.6 billion.
