The work of Rubtsovsky dairy plant is temporarily suspended
As explained in the press service of PepsiCo, the work of Rubtsovsky dairy plant was temporarily suspended due to the risk of collapse of the boiler plant pipe.
‘As a result of a stormy wind on May 1, the boiler plant pipe tilted, which created risks of its collapse. All employees of the plant were evacuated in a timely manner, and we asked the staff to stay at home until the plant reopens,’ explained the company's representatives.
At the moment, all milk supplied to the plant is redirected to other production sites of the company. PepsiCo stressed that they are doing everything possible to resume the work of the plant as soon as possible.
Representatives of two regional milk processing enterprises of Altai regions reported that there are currently no problems with the sudden excess of milk on the market. One of the market participants in the neighboring region noted: ‘Wimm-Bill-Dann continues to collect milk under the contract, so as not to receive fines. Then they deliver milk to other plants in the region, at a discount. And now there is a lot of cheap milk on the market.’
According to Dairy Intelligence Agency (DIA), Rubtsovsky dairy plant ranks second in Russia in terms of processed milk - in 2020, the company processed more than 338 thousand tons of raw milk.
