This year, 45 dairy farms are planned to be put into operation in Belarus
"Over the past five years,Br11.4 billion investments in fixed capital have been invested in the development of agriculture in the Republic. However, the dynamics of investment over this period is mostly negative. Thus, in 2019, the volume of investments in agricultural development amounted to 95% of the level of 2015 and 57% - of 2011. The result of low investment activity was the failure to complete the construction of new, reconstruction and modernization of existing dairy farms. By the end of this year, we need to complete the construction", said the Head of the Department.
According to him, in 2019, 149 dairy farms were built and reconstructed, and this year it is necessary to put into operation 45 such farms. To do this, all measures must be taken, he stressed.
Anatoly Khotko also noted that in 2019, thanks to the use of modern technologies and the renewal of production capacities of dairy farms, the share of extra milk in the total milk production increased from 48% to 52%.
