Udmurtia produced more than 640 thousand tons of milk in nine months of 2021 - Ministry of Agriculture

The Ministry summed up the results of the dairy cattle industry for 9 months of 2021. They showed that agricultural organizations and peasant farm holdings continue to increase milk production – it increased by 6.5% compared to the same period last year. Gross milk yields as of October 1 reached 647.7 thousand tons – the livestock breeders of the republic improved their last year's result by 39.5 thousand tons.

593.9 thousand tons of milk were delivered for processing, plus 38.6 thousand tons – the growth is at the level of 7%. Marketability of milk was 91.7% (+0.4%).

There are no equals in dairy cattle breeding to the breeders of the Vavozh district of the republic – they continue to lead both in terms of production and sales. Since the beginning of the year, 66.8 thousand tons have been produced, milk processing plants have been provided with raw materials in the amount of 62.4 thousand tons. Their closest rivals are the farms of Sharkan district - 54.4 thousand tons and 50.4 thousand tons, respectively.

The TOP 5 of the republic for the production and sale of milk also includes Mozhga district (46.0 thousand tons and 43.0 thousand tons, respectively), Alnashi district (42.5 thousand tons, 38.8 thousand tons, respectively) and Uva district (40.0 thousand tons and 35.9 thousand tons). At the same time, the maximum increase in production over the past period was demonstrated by the farms of Kiyasovo district – 15.6%. According to the largest increase in the volume of sales, the absolute leader of Udmurtia is Sarapul district – 15.3%.

The trend of increasing the number of cows continues to strengthen in the industry. Since the beginning of 2021, agricultural organizations have increased their milking herd by 290 units, peasant farm holdings - by 932 units. Today, the number of dairy cows in Udmurtia is 118 thousand 903.
