Ukraine: Milkiland decreased its net profit by 1,9 times in Q1 2013
One of the biggest Ukrainian cheese and dairy products producers Milkiland N.V. generated a net profit of EUR0.98 mln in January – March 2013, which is 47.5% lower compared to the same period of 2012.
One of the biggest Ukrainian cheese and dairy products producers Milkiland N.V. generated a net profit of EUR0.98 mln in January – March 2013, which is 47.5% lower compared to the same period of 2012. The company’s consolidated revenue grew by 5% to EUR71.07 mln. Gross profit in Q1 dropped 3,7% to EUR14.5 mln, EBITDA – by 10% to EUR6 mln, operating profit – by 40% to EUR2.07 mln.
The company links earnings dilution to world jump in milk prices, seasonal lack of milk in Ukraine and Russia and acquisition and launch of Polish enterprise “Ostrowia” at EUR0.9 mln.
Milkiland generated a net profit of EUR13.56 mln in 2012, which is 8.4% lower than the previous year. Its consolidated revenue grew by 2,6% in 2012 to EUR287.01 mln.
