Ukraine reduced cheese exports by 23% in the first half of the year
In monetary terms, exports of these products decreased by 11.8% to $270.86 million. Imports of poultry meat and offal fell by 22.9% to 46.62 thousand tons, in monetary terms - by 19.2% to $19.7 million. Pork exports increased by 39.1% to 1.4 thousand tons, and products were delivered for $3.56 million (an increase of 1.5 times). Pork imports decreased by 16.1% to 9.32 thousand tons, and in monetary terms - by 5.4% to $19.61 million.
According to the State customs service, in January-June 2020 Ukraine exported 2.55 thousand tons of cheese (a decrease of 22.7%) for $9.78 million (a decrease of 17.1%), imported 20.99 thousand tons (an increase of 2.5 times) for $90.83 million (an increase of 2.3 times). Exports of Ukrainian butter decreased 1.9 times - to 5.89 thousand tons, in monetary terms - 1.8 times, to $26.49 million. Imports of these products in the reporting period amounted to 7 thousand tons ($26.39 million) compared to 548 tons ($3.43 million) in January-June 2019.
Exports of milk and cream (condensed) decreased by 35.1% to 14.31 thousand tons, in monetary terms - by 36% to $29.85 million, imports of this group of goods increased 2.7 times to 2.46 thousand tons, in monetary terms - 2.9 times to $5.6 million.
