Union of ice cream producers of Russia: ice cream exports are mainly directed to the CIS countries
- Ice cream produced in Russia has always been the hallmark of our country: creamy consistency, rich creamy taste - these are the distinctive qualities of Russian ice cream, - said in the industry union.
The organization noted that domestic producers successfully use the potential of Soviet ice cream recipes, getting a delicious product. The demand for Russian ice cream not only in our country, but also abroad is indicated by the dynamics of growth in export sales of this category.
According to representatives of the Union of ice cream producers, for 6 months of 2020, ice cream was exported by 2753 tons more than in the same period last year, which is 22.1%. In monetary terms, the export of ice cream earned more than $4 million in the first six months of this year by the first half of 2019, the dynamics is 14.3%.

As for the sales of ice cream, 52 ice cream producers are currently accredited for exporting it to China. Some of them supply ice cream to the USA, Europe, Mongolia, and Israel.
The Union reported that the key companies exporting ice cream are Unilever Rus, Novokuznetsk cold storage plant, Laguna Coil, Angaria, Vologda ice cream, Korenovsky milk canning plant, Production and commercial company Proxima, Chelny Kholod, Froneri Rus, and others.
- The main part of export sales of ice cream falls on the CIS countries. Although in the first three months of 2020, the share of ice cream exports to North America and East Asia increased significantly. The pandemic and the closure of borders prevented an increase in the export of ice cream to foreign countries, - said representatives of the Union of ice cream producers.
