In the context of Russian food embargo Finnish Valio is optimizing its business in Russia and searching for alternative sources of raw materials for its Russian factories.
In the context of Russian food embargo Finnish Valio is optimizing its business in Russia and searching for alternative sources of raw materials for its Russian factories. At the moment company’s sites in Russia (plant in Yershovo, Moscow Region, and contract production site Galaktika in Gatchina, Leningrad Region) and its offices continue operating. Now Valio supplies products imported in Russia before the embargo, it also continues manufacturing several products on Russia’s territory.
According to the company’s release, it plans to minimize the increased cost of logistics services and to change the focus and volume of work. It also plans to find alternative sources of raw materials for its Russian production sites.
