Vladimir Putin approved a proposal to declare non-working days from October 30 to November 7
‘Now it is especially important to bring down the peak of a new wave of the epidemic. And in this regard, taking into account the current situation, I certainly support the proposals to declare non-working days throughout the country with the retention of salaries for employees in the period fr om October 30 to November 7 inclusive,’ he said at a meeting with members of the government.
In addition, Putin called on the heads of regions to introduce non-working days, if necessary, without having to wait for October 30. ‘It is clear that in each region of the Federation, the epidemiological situation develops differently, it has its own dynamics and trends. Based on this, the heads of the regions have been granted the right, we agreed on this from the very beginning, when we only started fighting the epidemic, to establish additional measures,’ he said.
‘In this case, additional non-working days can be set without having to wait for October 30. That is, to do it before the period of non-working days established for the whole country,’ the president continued.
‘I appeal separately to the heads of the constituent entities of the Federation, wh ere the incidence rate is especially high, and medical organizations are working with overload. Consult specialists, assess the situation. If necessary, make a decision on the introduction of non-working days since this Saturday, since October 23,’ Putin said.
