Vladimir Putin instructed to create a quality and safety management system for food products
To do this, it is necessary to ensure the availability to consumers of reliable data in digital format on the origin of food components contained, among other things, in state information systems in the field of veterinary medicine and monitoring of the turnover of goods subject to mandatory labeling by means of identification.
In addition, the President noted, it is necessary to organize a phased addition of state information systems with information characterizing the safety and quality of food products and its elements, including information about raw materials of animal and plant-based origin, ingredients, enzymes, genetically modified organisms and microorganisms; information on the content of substances critically important for the body (sugar, salt, saturated fatty acids and others), taking into account the recommended daily intake.
Recommendations on the implementation of production control over the compliance of manufactured products with standards, technical regulations and conditions should also be approved, and measures should be taken to supplement state information systems with the function of processing production and laboratory control data.
Another item of Vladimir Putin's instructions was the development of a program to stimulate the interaction of food producers with producers of agricultural products from among small businesses in order to improve their quality and ensure traceability.
