Vladimir Putin promised to support farmers from Voronezh Region in case the food embargo is abolished

The Russian President announced that yesterday within the Direct Line answering a question by farmers from Molvest (Voronezh Region, Russia).
The farmers are concerned about possible sanctions lifting. In case it happens their produce will not be in demand on the market, they complained. If the foreign farm products come back to the market they will not be able to pay back the loans, explained representatives of agricultural sector.
Commenting that the President expressed confidence that Russia’s partners are unlikely to abolish restrictions in relation to Russia in the nearest time. That means their food products will also remain under embargo. Putin promised to monitor the situation attentively and reminded the farmers, that there are lots of approaches to support the sector, and the government will ultimately implement them. “Let us look at that with optimism”, - concluded the President.
