VTB group is building a large distribution center

During his report the commercial director of LLC VTB Real Estate told about the project Agro-industrial cluster "Maksimikha": the full range of fresh products on the same site. Mr. Kuperman reported that the cluster area of 300 hectares would be similar to the trading town, through which there would pass up to half a million tons of products per year. The project assumes that collaboration will be organized without intermediaries, including farmers. The representative of the group sees small and medium wholesalers, HoReCa and citizens as visitors and buyers.

It turns out that these are the same people, who buy in FOODCITY, where prices are 3 times higher than those of the agrocluster "Maksimikha", said the representative of VTB real Estate.

Also at the territory of the Agro-industrial cluster "Maksimikha" there will be built a farmer’s village with an area of 2-3 hectares, the houses of 150 sq. m. will be sold for approximately 5 million rubles, the price has not been approved yet.

"We will grow products and sell them directly at the agrocluster. We attract people who will live and work in agrocluster, it is difficult to attract 15 000 people that are needed," said Mr. Kiperman.

The volume of investments at the first stage will amount to 40 billion rubles. In 2016 about 3 billion rubles was invested to support the construction. The project is owned by the VTB group.

Currently, according to preliminary contracts (agreement of intent) 70% of the area is already full.

At the conference Oleg Sirota expressed his doubt that the farmer’s market will go as a project, because consumers are used to buying cheese within Moscow.
