According to Denis Ishmaev, Sales Director of LLC EkoNiva-Food Products, first, the price increase is due to the depreciation of the ruble against the dollar and euro, the increase in the cost of raw materials and animal feed, logistics services and packaging materials.

Lyubov Koroleva, Head of the Department of Economics and Controlling of LLC EkoNiva-Food Products, notes that the increase in fuel and energy costs and the exchange rate affected the company's production in 2021.

‘The exchange rate affects the fact that we buy packaging in euros, so, the higher it rises, the more we pay suppliers. In addition, the increase in prices for fuel and lubricants has led to the fact that transport and logistics companies, whose services we use to deliver products from our factories to the stores of retail chains, have increased their tariffs. Of course, all this affects the company's expenses,’ she said.

Denis Ishmaev, Sales Director of LLC EkoNiva-Food Products, confirmed that food prices are rising, but the income of the population is not. That is why the company tries to restrain the prices of its products.

According to the expert, this can be done by reducing the purchase price for packaging components and ingredients that make up the products.

‘For example, if you buy an increased batch of cardboard or fruit fillers at once, you can reduce the cost of delivery, and you can also conclude long-term relationships with partners, which in the future will allow you to buy materials from them at fixed prices. We analyze commercial offers and choose for cooperation those suppliers who offer the most favorable conditions,’ noted Denis Ishmaev.

He said that in terms of production, the company is also improving technological processes, one of the tasks of which is to reduce the loss of milk during its production. According to the expert, all these factors ultimately help to restrain prices for products without compromising quality.
