Yuri Karakashyan: the state is deaf to market participants regarding the introduction of labeling
‘The state is the main initiator of the implementation, it should take an active part in it, promote effective and systematic implementation, without heavy loads, and finance this implementation. However, I do not see any state participation in the project now. Moreover, we have not even received any response from the state to our requests on how business should work,’ Yuri Karakashyan said.
We will remind that last week, the Ministry of industry and trade took the initiative to postpone the introduction of mandatory labeling of dairy products until the end of the pilot experiment. This offer was received negatively by many market participants. In particular, the lack of expediency in the introduction of labeling of dairy products was stated by Rosstandart expert Larisa Abdullayeva.
